What’s the story behind The Sofa & Chair Company?

Founded in 2002, the idea for The Sofa & Chair Company came from a young entrepreneur who started out as a professional tailor. Having recognised that London's leading interior designers needed a manufacturer that could offer quality furniture on shorter lead times, he used his expert knowledge and experience in upholstery and furniture making to open his flagship West London studio.

What makes your products special?

An important aspect of The Sofa & Chair Company is to offer furniture on a shorter lead time. We therefore keep a stock level of our sofas, allowing them to be purchased immediately.

How and where are your products manufactured?

Our pieces are all made here in London; our workshop houses a team of skilled designers, carpenters and tailors, who are all dedicated to our ideal of offering true British craftsmanship.

Our furniture is handcrafted using kiln-dried hardwood timbers and our top quality, solid beech wood frames are guaranteed for 15 years for lasting assurance.

As well as the in stock availability, we are also proud to uphold an industry-leading 4-6 weeks lead-time across all of our upholstered pieces.
