A New Event for the Restaurant and Bar Industry

Every September London comes alive during Design Week with pop ups, events and exhibitions set up all over the city. This year there is an exciting new trade show to add to the list, The Restaurant Design Show, on 27 & 28th September 2016.

Just last week the team behind it all won the Trade Show of the Year at the Exhibition News awards for a sister event they have in the leisure market, so we're looking forward to seeing some fresh ideas from them in the restaurant sector.

We spoke with the team at the Prysm Group to find out more, and also to offer eporta members an exclusive discount on exhibiting.

What’s the reason for launching The Restaurant Design Show?

We have been running a very successful event called Takeaway Innovation Expo for the last 3 years and, as it has grown and developed (doubled in size every year), there has been significant interest in design and furnishings.

We looked into this much more closely and researched whether it was an industry wide thing that transcended all kinds of restaurants and bars. There was a lot of interest from a very broad spectrum of people across the catering and hospitality sector and the design and architecture world welcomed the idea equally - other events didn't cover it properly -  so we got to work and set out to build the best trade show in the world covering this sector.

How is it different?

Our events, whatever the sector, break the mould. We go all out to make the show floor buzz, and we pack it with good content; in essence we give the visitor hundreds of reasons to attend and with so much going on it will be a very exciting event to be a part of.

Our seminar schedule is packed with more than 50 speakers, including some of the world's leading experts, and we'll have inspiring features to show off the latest designs, plus a tonne of cutting edge exhibitors to show off the very latest trends, products and designs that can transform a restaurant.

Top three highlights for the event?

We have some incredibly good keynote speakers - to pick one out above another would be an injustice to the others - but check them out here

The Alfresco dining feature is shaping up to be a very exciting feature in the middle of the show, showcasing the latest trends in outdoor eating.

The Design Inspiration feature will show off the latest furniture, interior advances, trends and inspirational ideas

Who will be attending?

Owners of high end restaurants, bars and hotels looking for fresh ideas or looking to refurbish and redesign their space imminently, architects, interior designers, design agencies.

Who should exhibit and why?

It's easy enough to find different types of restaurant owners through events, magazines etc., but to find the ones that are looking to spend hundreds of thousands on a makeover is not so easy - this show does the hard work for you and finds them and puts them in a room. If you sell products and services to these people then you need to exhibit at the show.

There is a special price agreed for eporta members. For more information on the event and exhibiting speak to Ben Henbest 0117 929 6084
