12 Modernist Favourites.

Palm Springs' Modernism Week has long been a source of interior inspiration. Following the event, we've taken a look at a few of our favourite mid-century modern furniture picks.

Modernist design - although around for decades - is far from being outdated. In fact, in recent years, we've seen several classic modernist designs become some of the most "on-trend", sought after pieces in the industry.

Showcasing the innovative, intricate nature of mid-century modern furniture design; Palm Springs' Modernism Week reminded us of why.

Inspired by what we saw, we've curated some of the best modernist pieces available on eporta.

To many, modernism is synonymous with an "unfussy" design approach. The design movement sought to strip furniture down to the elemental and necessary.

Modernism was (and is) also experimental, sculptural, graphic, and always on the cutting edge.

Pioneering designers and artists of the movement played with pattern, colour and shape in entirely new ways.

In more recent years, many design houses have reproduced some of the movement's favourite designs. Carl Hansen & Son - the Danish design house - produce works by renowned design masters such as Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner and Tadao Ando. See a few below.
